Arsonist flees Cork court before being found guilty

 Michael Murphy, aged 39, of 36 Riverview estate, Blarney, County Cork, was found guilty by the unanimous decision of the jury atCork Circuit Criminal Court.

A man who denied three counts of arson to cars parked outside a house was treated for second-degree burn injuries to his hands very soon after the disputed crime, it emerged during his trial.

At Cork Circuit Criminal Court, by the time the jury returned with their guilty verdict against him the accused had gone.
