A church has been burgled twice in less than 24 hours in Co Down.

The first incident happened shortly after midday on Friday at the New Testament Pentecostal Church on Main Street in Ballynahinch.

The second intrusion happened shortly after 6.20am on Saturday.

Police are working to establish what items were taken during the incidents.

Inspector Alastair Macdonald said: “Our inquiries are continuing and I am appealing to anyone who has information about these incidents to call detectives.”
