Girl alleges online friend raped her in sports ground dugout

Accused pleads not guilty to charges of rape and sexual assault

A teenage girl who exchanged nude photos and videos on Snapchat with a teenage boy alleged that about two years later he raped her in the dugout beside a sports ground.

This was the allegation put before Mr Justice Paul McDermott and a jury of eight men and four women at a trial which started at the Central Criminal Court sitting in Cork.
