Dublin City Council has challenged a decision by An Bord Pleanála to allow a firm of developer Johnny Ronan's to amend its planning permission for a strategic housing development in Dublin's docklands.

The decision allows Spencer Place Development Company Ltd to increase the number of proposed housing units by more than 110 by allowing it increase the height of two buildings from seven storeys to 11 and 13 storeys.
