Second man arrested over Mulhuddart fatal assault

A man has been arrested over a fatal assault in Dublin earlier this month.

The deceased, a man in his 40s, died in hospital days after the alleged assault at Parslickstown Drive, Mulhuddart, on July 3.

On Wednesday, gardaí said a man in his 50s was charged to appear before Blanchardstown District Court in connection with the incident.

On Saturday, investigators arrested a second man.

The man, aged in his 20s, was detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at a garda station in west Dublin.

A garda spokesman said: “Investigations are ongoing.”
