Man, 50s, dies following single-vehicle crash in Kildare

A male motorcyclist aged in his 50s has died following a single-vehicle crash on Saturday. 

The crash occurred at approximately 10.45am at Killick, Kilcock, Co Kildare and the man was pronounced deceased at the scene. 

His body has been conveyed to the mortuary at Naas General Hospital where an autopsy will take place in due course. The coroner has been notified.

The road was closed for a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and has since reopened.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward. 

Road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in Killick, Kilcock, Co Kildare between 10.30am and 11am on Saturday are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.
