An elderly man who died in a bus crash in Dublin city centre has been remembered as a “kind person who enjoyed going into town every day”.
Frank Daly, who was in his 80s and from East Wall, died when a Bus Éireann vehicle careered over the road between North Earl Street and Talbot Street at around 12.30pm on Thursday.
Three other people were injured during the incident and were taken to hospital for treatment. They include a male pedestrian in his 20s, the driver of the bus, who is in her 50s, and a female pedestrian in her 30s.
GardaĂ are continuing to investigate the incident.
Flowers were left at the scene on Friday. A garda cordon was cleared, but evidence of Thursday's crash remained - a damaged shop front and traffic cones where a street light had been knocked down.

Locals in East Wall said Mr Daly enjoyed going into town every day for his dinner on Henry Street.
One said: “He loved Ann’s Bakery and was always in there. He would have been going for his dinner on Thursday when he died.
“He enjoyed his daily stroll and was a very nice person who liked his own company. He was very liked in the area”.
Another local in East Wall said: “He enjoyed his trips into town each day. Sadly, he lost his life going that way on Thursday. Many people in East Wall were very fond of him."
Bus Éireann said the bus was not in service at the time of the crash.
The bus is due to undergo an examination to determine whether a mechanical issue contributed to the crash or whether other issues were at play.
A garda spokesperson said a liaison officer had been appointed to the family of the dead man, adding that "investigations are ongoing".
GardaĂ have asked anyone with photographs or video of the incident to make them available to the investigation team at Store Street Garda Station.
