Infant boy seriously injured following attack by two dogs

An infant boy has sustained serious injuries in an incident involving two dogs in Co Kilkenny on Wednesday evening.
Gardaí and emergency services were alerted to a residential property in Callan at around 3pm.
The infant has since been receiving treatment at Children's Health Ireland, Crumlin, for serious injuries.
"His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening at this time," a garda spokesperson said.
The dogs have since been removed by the dog warden and gardaí said arrangements are now being made with local veterinary services for their euthanisation.
"Investigations are ongoing," the spokesperson added.
