Two men have been arrested as part of a Garda investigation into more than 40 criminal incidents across Dublin and other parts of the country.
The arrests were made on Thursday as part of Operation Thor, which is examining a series of incidents during 2025 involving theft, deception and the unauthorised taking of vehicles.
As part of the investigation, five premises were searched in the Dublin and Carlow regions. The searches were carried out by gardaí attached to the Dublin Metropolitan Region South Central Crime Task Force.
The two men, both aged in their 20s, are currently being detained at a Garda station in Dublin under the provisions of Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007.
Investigations are ongoing, a garda spokesperson said.
