Parts of the county can expect low temperatures, heavy rain, frost and hail this week, although Met Éireann says other areas will enjoy dry weather.
The national forecaster said that low pressure will continue to dominate, which will bring mixed conditions.
While Wednesday started with mainly dry and clear spells, it will start to become rather wet and breezy with outbreaks of rain spreading in from the east, turning heavy and possibly thundery at times.
Temperatures of between 5C to 10C are set for the day, with some moderate to fresh winds, stronger near the Atlantic coasts.
It will then become dry later on Wednesday night, with long clear spells, and scattered showers will still feed into Atlantic coastal counties. Some frost is also possible with temperatures sitting between 0C and 4C.
Thursday will be a dry day for many with long clear spells. However, Atlantic coastal counties will see some showers, which could turn heavy and bring some hail or thunder. Daytime temperatures will sit between 5C and 10c.
It will be a mix of dry, clear spells and showers later on Thursday night. Some of these showers will merge into more persistent spells of rain. There will be some mist and fog patches with temperatures dropping between 0C and 3C.
Friday will see fog linger in parts, but it will be a dry day for many with some bright spells. Southern and eastern parts of the country will see some heavy showers and potentially hail and thunder. Temperatures will stay between 4C to 9C during the day.
Below freezing conditions are set for Friday night as it drops as low as -1C, with widespread fog and freezing fog developing.
Looking into the weekend, Saturday will be a generally cloudy day with some bright spells. It will stay dry for many, but wet conditions will affect the south and east.
Sunday will see more mist and fog patches early on, with similar weather conditions as Saturday. While there will be some light rain and drizzle, it should stay relatively dry before rain pushes into the west later in the day.
