More than 9,000 people were 'no shows' for driving tests last year

More than 9,000 people failed to turn up for their driving tests last year, as tens of thousands of people continue to await appointments.

Some 61,000 people are currently awaiting a test date, with just 32 out of 57 driving test centres across the country hitting the agreed 10-week waiting period.
