Snow and ice alerts issued as temperatures could drop to -6C

Temperatures could drop to -6C overnight as Met Éireann has warned of a "treacherous start" to tomorrow morning with frost, ice and freezing fog patches.
As the cold snap continues, wintry showers in the north and west with some snow accumulations, sharp or severe frost and ice can be expected.
A status yellow snow-ice warning is in effect for Cavan, Donegal, Monaghan, Connacht and Louth.
The warning came into effect this morning and is valid until 11am tomorrow.
Temperatures are expected to fall to between -2C and -5C generally, with sharp or severe frost and icy stretches with black ice too.
Met Éireann has warned of hazardous travel conditions and poor visibility.
According to the forecaster, other counties could also receive some wintry showers.
Meanwhile, a status yellow low temperature and ice warning has been issued for Carlow, Dublin, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Meath, Offaly, Westmeath, Wexford, Wicklow, and Munster.
This warning is valid until 11am tomorrow.
Overnight temperatures are forecast to range from -2 to -4C or -6C yet again on Sunday night.
As for the general outlook, Sunday will be another cold and frosty day, with early morning ice and fog or freezing fog slow to clear.
Conditions will be dry and sunny in the southeast, while scattered wintry showers will affect other areas, bringing additional snow accumulations.
Daytime temperatures will range from 1C to 5C, with light to moderate westerly winds.
Sunday night will turn very cold again, with further sharp to severe frost and icy stretches.
Met Éireann says fog or freezing fog is likely once more, as temperatures drop to between -4C and freezing in light to moderate northwesterly winds.
Monday morning will also be cold with frost, ice and fog or freezing fog patches slow to clear. Thereafter, it will be a largely dry and sunny day for most areas, although a few wintry showers will affect the north and northwest.
Highest temperatures tomorrow will range from 1C to 5C.
