LIVE: Track Santa as he makes his way to Ireland to deliver presents
Santa will arrive in Ireland soon.
It's a big day for children across the country as Santa is set to deliver presents to Ireland's boys and girls.
He's nearly here, and he has already started leaving presents for children in other parts of the world.
Children in Ireland will need to make sure they are in bed early, as Santa, who usually arrives at around midnight, might make it down the chimney earlier than usual, due to the favourable weather conditions on Christmas Eve.
Santa, Rudolph, and the eight other reindeer left the North Pole at around 11am Irish time, but it will be nighttime before they arrive in our skies. Santa also wants to let the children in Ireland know that no matter where they are spending their Christmas this year, he will know where to find them and give them their presents.
He's visiting all the different places, houses, apartments, accommodation centres, hotels, hospitals and many more.
He also said to mention that because it's a very busy night for himself and his reindeer, he would appreciate it if children could leave out some food, drink or a 'thank you' note before they go to bed.
You can watch his progress below (if you cannot see the embed, you can follow his progress here).
Since 1955, NORAD has taken on the important mission of tracking Santa when a young child, trying to reach St. Nick, dialled a misprinted phone number from an ad in the local newspaper.
When they called, it was not Santa, but US Air Force Col Harry Shoup who answered. Col Shoup quickly realised that a mistake had been made and assured the child that they had reached Santa.
More calls came through from children looking to speak to Santa, and so an officer was assigned to answer the childrens' calls. And so a tradition was born.
Every year, Norad reports Santa's location on Christmas Eve to millions of families across the world who watch eagerly as Santa nears their home.
