Dry and bright: Here's what the weather will be like over the Christmas period

The days over the festive period will be merry and bright and also dry, according to Met Éireann, but there will be no White Christmas this year.

It will be cold, but the forecaster is predicting glad tidings as there will be mainly dry and settled conditions throughout the Christmas and new year period.
