Woman, 20s, arrested in connection with murder of Daniel Aruebose
Daniel, born in December 2017, died sometime in 2021. He was around three and a half years old at that time. His skeletal remains were in Donabate, north Dublin, on September 17.
A woman aged in her 20s has been arrested on suspicion of murder by gardaí investigating the death of Daniel Aruebose, a boy who was missing for years in Dublin.
Daniel, born in December 2017, died sometime in 2021. He was around three and a half years old at that time. His remains were discovered in Donabate, north Dublin, on September 17 earlier this year.
A murder investigation was launched by gardaí earlier this month, before what would have been his eighth birthday.
In an update on Monday, gardaí said a woman in her 20s was arrested on suspicion of murder.
A Garda spokesperson said: "As part of the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of Daniel Aruebose, Gardaí have this morning, arrested a woman aged in her 20s on suspicion of murder.
"She is currently detained under provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at a Garda Station in the Dublin Region."
She can be held for up to 24 hours, excluding breaks.
"Investigations are ongoing," the spokesperson added.
When it launched its murder investigation, gardaí said: “Members of the public are urged not to assume that gardaí already possess information they may hold, or that any detail is too small or insignificant.
“The investigation team will determine the relevance of any information provided.
