EuroMillions jackpot winner bought €17m ticket in Cavan
The winning ticket was purchased in a retail store in the county, with the exact location to be announced on Tuesday.
The National Lottery have confirmed that Friday evening's EuroMillions jackpot winning player was from Co Cavan.
The lucky punter scooped a massive €17m top prize after matching all five numbers and two lucky stars in the draw.
The winning ticket was purchased in a retail store in the county, with the exact location to be announced on Tuesday.
This is the second Irish EuroMillions jackpot win of 2025, with a family syndicate claiming the largest ever prize won in Ireland back in July when they won €250m.
Additionally, it is Cavan’s second millionaire in just two weeks, following a Daily Million top prize win on November 30.
The numbers in Friday night’s EuroMillions draw were: 7, 25, 30, 37, 41 and the Lucky Stars were 5 and 11.
National Lottery spokesperson, Darragh O’Dwyer said: "We’re delighted to confirm that the €17 million EuroMillions jackpot winning ticket was sold in Co. Cavan.
"We’re asking all Cavan players to check their tickets very carefully and, if you are the winner, sign the back of your ticket and keep it safe.
"Our Claims team is ready to guide you through the claiming process, and we’ll announce the store location on Tuesday.”
Friday's draw also saw a Limerick player become €500,000 richer after winning the EuroMillions Plus draw.
