Revealed: Here's where the €17m winning EuroMillions ticket was sold
The winning ticket was sold in a retail store in the Ulster region.
Lotto bosses have revealed that Ireland has a new EuroMillions winner, with the winning ticket having been sold in a retail store in the Ulster region.
The punter won Friday night's €17m jackpot by matching five numbers and the two Lucky Stars.
The winning numbers were 7, 25, 30, 37, 41, and the Lucky Stars were 5 and 11.
The National Lottery said the ticket was sold in the Ulster region, with more details to be announced in the coming days.
Meanwhile, there was also success for a punter in the EuroMillions Plus draw.
An online player in Co Limerick scooped the plus draw jackpot worth €500,000 by matching five numbers. The winning numbers were: 11, 16, 31, 35, and 38.
There was also a third big win on the night after a player in Co Kilkenny won €30,745 after matching five numbers in the main draw. Their Quick Pick ticket was purchased on the day of the draw, at Kitty’s Cabin, 1 Rose Inn Street, Kilkenny.
“We are absolutely thrilled to announce that an Irish player has won the €17m EuroMillions jackpot in last night’s draw," said National Lottery spokesperson Emma Monaghan.
"This is the second EuroMillions jackpot won in Ireland this year, following the historic €250m win in June.
"We’re encouraging all players to check their tickets very carefully. If you are the winner, sign the back of your ticket and keep it somewhere safe."
Earlier this year, Cork's Shandon Street was the location for the largest Lotto prize ever won in Ireland when a family syndicate won the €250m jackpot.
