Gardaí appeal for witnesses after serious late-night crash in Kilkenny

Gardaí have appealed for witnesses following a serious crash involving a car and a van near Mooncoin, Co Kilkenny, on Tuesday.

According to a garda spokesperson, the crash occurred at approximately 12.30am on the L3401 in Clogga, where two people were injured.

The driver of the car, a man in his late teens, sustained serious injuries, while the passenger, a child, sustained non-life threatening injuries.

Both were taken to University Hospital Waterford for treatment. Garda forensics have examined the scene.

"Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area around the time of the collision are asked to make it available to investigating Gardaí," said the spokesperson.

"Anyone with information is asked to contact Waterford Garda Station on 051 305 300, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station."

Investigations are continuing.
