Man arrested after €1m cannabis discovery at Rosslare during Revenue operation
The 204kg of cannabis seized by Revenue officials.
A man has been arrested after just over €1m worth of cannabis was seized at Rosslare Europort.
The drugs were discovered following routine profiling by Revenue officials at the port on Thursday.
A freight unit had arrived on a ferry from France.
Officers stopped, scanned, and searched the vehicle, making the seizure with the assistance of Revenue detection dog Mollaidh.
In total, 204kg of cannabis was valued at €1.2m.
The man, aged in his 40s, was arrested and is currently detained at a Garda station in Co Wexford.
