Watch: Truck Overturns at Cork's Elysian

A lorry carrying a load of steel overturned near the Elysian building in Cork City on Thursday morning, causing significant traffic disruption.

Emergency services were alerted to the incident at around 9.20am after the truck took the bend from Eglinton Street onto Albert Street and tipped onto its side on the footpath outside the Aldi supermarket.

Members of An Garda Síochána and Cork City Fire Brigade arrived at the scene shortly afterwards.

Cork City Fire Brigade Second Officer Victor Shine told the Irish Examiner that the incident did not result in any serious injuries.
