Gardaí investigating after woman's body discovered in house in Spiddal

Gardaí say enquiries are ongoing.

An investigation has been launched in Galway following the discovery of a woman's body at a house in Co Galway.

The body was found in Spiddal on Friday evening. 

Gardaí said the scene has been preserved for technical examination.

In a statement, a spokesperson said: "Gardaí are investigating all the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the body of a woman at a domestic residence in Spiddal, Co Galway yesterday evening, Friday 7 November 2025.

"The body of the woman remains at the scene and the scene is preserved for technical examination.

Enquiries are ongoing."
