Cyclist, 20s, hospitalised after two-car crash in Dublin

A cyclist is in serious condition following a crash involving two cars in Dublin on Monday morning. 

The incident happened at around 6.30am on Mellowes Road in Finglas. 

The cyclist, a man in his 20s, was taken to Beaumont Hospital, where he remains in a serious condition. 

No other injuries were reported, a garda spokesperson said. 

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on Mellowes Road between 6.15am and 6.45am are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.

"Investigations are ongoing," the spokesperson added.
