Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a gun was fired outside a house in Dublin.

The "discharge of a firearm" occurred outside a residence in Corduff Grove, Blanchardstown, at around 11pm on Thursday.

Gardaí said no injuries were reported.

A technical examination of the scene has been conducted by the Divisional Scenes of Crime Unit, and gardaí are now appealing for witnesses to this incident to come forward.

"Anyone with information is asked to contact investigating Gardaí in Blanchardstown Garda Station on 01 666 7000, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any garda station," said a spokesperson. 

"Investigations are ongoing," they added.
