RTÉ pulls Kieran Cuddihy from Late Late Show as he is still under Newstalk contract

RTÉ has taken down promotional material of Kieran Cuddihy on social media, as Newstalk has said the presenter remains under contract.
Mr Cuddihy was confirmed as the new presenter of RTÉ Radio One’s 'Liveline' in a statement on Friday morning from RTÉ, which also detailed a number of changes in the programme schedule.
He was also due to appear on Friday night's 'Late Late Show'. However, it has since been announced that Mr Cuddihy would not be on tonight’s show.
It is understood Newstalk had sent legal letters to both Mr Cuddihy and RTÉ, saying he remains under contract with them for a period of time.
Mr Cuddihy had worked for Newstalk since 2011.
This comes as RTÉ shared details of a a shake-up in presenters at Radio One, with an all-new weekday schedule announced by RTÉ on Friday morning.
The revamped schedule includes Six One News presenter David McCullagh, who has been confirmed as the new host of
, replacing Claire Byrne, who is leaving RTÉ later this year and moving to Newstalk.Meanwhile, Oliver Callan will continue to broadcast his programme in an extended format in a new 11am slot.
Rachael English will continue to present RTÉ's
every lunchtime.Louise Duffy will host a new one-hour show at 3pm every weekday, which RTÉ says will showcase a "vibrant mix of live music, celebrity guests, and unmissable entertainment".
Katie Hannon and Colm Ó Mongáin will present
from the earlier time of 4pm, which RTÉ says will continue to deliver national and international news coverage, as well as politics and culture.From 6pm, a new sports news programme will air, featuring “previews and reviews of national and international sporting events, interviews, and breaking stories of the day".
The host of this programme has not yet been confirmed, nor have the two new presenters who will join Audrey Carville and Gavin Jennings on
from 7am each weekday.
