Gardaí are investigating after a man was found dead in Co Meath.

His body was discovered in the Agher area shortly before 10am on Friday.

The body has since been removed to the mortuary at Our Lady’s Hospital in Navan, where a post-mortem examination is due to take place.

The outcome of the examination will determine the course of the investigation.

The local coroner has been notified.

A technical examination of the scene was ongoing on Saturday.
