Storm Amy: Orange warning in place as Ireland set to be hit by heavy rain and gale-force winds

Co Kerry is currently under a status orange rain warning with two more status yellow warnings in place as Storm Amy, the first named storm of the new storm season, hits Ireland.

Met Éireann says Kerry will see heavy spells of rain while the orange warning is in place. The warning came into effect at 6am and will remain in place until 8pm. The county can expect flooding and very difficult travelling conditions.
