The Government will move to directly zone land if local authorities do not comply with instructions to increase land available for housing, the Taoiseach has said.

Micheál Martin criticised some council chief executives who are not opting to increase the supply of land for housing, saying they are showing “a degree of inertia and lack of productivity”.
