Irish grandmother in the US legally for 50 years is behind bars after arrest by ICE

Irish grandmother Donna Hughes-Brown in happier times with her husband Jim Brown. Having lived legally in the US for almost 50 years, Ms Hughes-Brown is now being held in an immigration detention camp, having been detained by ICE.

A fundraiser for an Irish grandmother living legally in the US for almost 50 years but who is now being held in an immigration detention camp there has reached almost 90% of its goal.

Donna Hughes-Brown, 58, was arrested after she landed in Chicago on a flight from Dublin after attending a funeral in Ireland and visiting relatives in Cork and Drogheda in July.
