First-ever Irish winner of EuroDreams top prize secures €20,000 every month for 30 years

The winning numbers from Monday's draw were 1, 3, 5, 11, 20, 31 and the dream number was 5.

A Lotto player has won €20,000 every month for the next 30 years after becoming the first Irish person to win the EuroDreams top prize.

The winning numbers from Monday's draw were 1, 3, 5, 11, 20, 31 and the dream number was 5.

The winner matched all six numbers plus the dream number marking Ireland’s first-ever EuroDreams top prize win since the game launched in 2023.

The top prize in the game is worth €7.2m and is paid in monthly tax-free payments of €20,000 spread over 30 years.

The game is played in eight countries: Ireland, Austria, Belgium, France, Luxembourg, Portugal, Spain and Switzerland.

Not only did an Irish punter scoop the top prize, someone in this country also won the second-best prize.

That punter matched six numbers, winning €2,000 a month for the next five years.

National Lottery spokesperson Darragh O’Dwyer called it a "phenomenal night" for Irish Lotto players, saying: "to have our very first EuroDreams top prize winner is truly historic."

"It’s a dream double-win for Ireland, and we couldn’t be more thrilled. We’re encouraging all our players to check their tickets, as you could be one of Ireland’s latest big winners."

It's been a successful few months for Lotto players as it was revealed in July that a family syndicate won a record €250m EuroMillions jackpot. The winning ticket was sold in Cork.

Meanwhile, the third-highest Lotto jackpot — worth €17m — was won by an online player in Co Mayo last month.
