Woman in her 70s dies after swarm of bees attacks in Mayo

Coast Guard helicopter Rescue 118 airlifted her to Sligo University Hospital, where she later died.

A woman in her 70s has died after being stung by a swarm of bees in Co Mayo on Monday.

The woman was attending hives in the Ballycastle area of Ballina at around 5.40pm when the bees attacked.
