Nursing Homes Ireland chief says all substandard care must be called out

Poor care in nursing homes needs to be called out, Nursing Homes Ireland (NHI) chief executive Tadhg Daly said, as he launched new tools to boost human rights-based care in the sector.

Nursing homes have come under fire in recent months with concerns about potential abuse. Mr Daly said he was horrified by abuse uncovered by RTÉ at two Emeis Ireland centres.
