CAO: Important dates for offers, appeals and rechecks

It is important to note that there are only two days to accept offers from Round Two onwards.

If a 2025 Central Applications Office (CAO) offer is going to be accepted, this must be done before 3pm on the reply deadline date.

Key dates relating to offers

27th August: Round One Offers.

2nd September: Deadline to accept or defer Round One offers.

8th September: Round Two Offers.

10th September: Deadline to accept or defer Round Two Offers.

16th September: Round Three Offers.

18th September: Deadline to accept or defer Round Three Offers.

23rd September: Round Four Offers.

25th September: Deadline to accept or defer Round Four Offers.

30th September: Round Five Offers.

2nd October: Deadline to accept or defer Round Five Offers.

Important dates should you want to have your exam paper rechecked

This is done through the student’s Candidate Self Service Portal (CSSP) account.

26th August 5pm – Wednesday 27th August, 8pm: Application open to view scripts

30th August: Scripts can be viewed. Paper scripts can be viewed in a three-hour session starting at 9.30am or at 2pm. Online scripts can be viewed for 24 hours from 9am on Saturday until 9am on Sunday.

31st August 10am – 1st September, 5pm: Applications can be made to appeal a result. It costs E40 per Leaving Cert subject (E15.50 for LCA). This money is refunded if an appeal is successful.

26 September 11am: Appeals Results are available. This date is subject to change, depending on the number of appeals.
