Pedestrian in his 20s dies after early morning crash in Ballymun, Dublin
Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of the incident at Balbutcher Lane, Ballymun at around 4.55am.
A pedestrian has died following a collision involving a car in Dublin in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Gardaí and emergency services responded to the scene of the incident at Balbutcher Lane, Ballymun, at around 4.55am.
The pedestrian, a man in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Gardaí said no other injuries were reported.
The road is currently closed to allow gardaí to carry out a technical examination of the scene. Local diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact them.
Any road users or pedestrians who were in the vicinity of Balbutcher Lane and Balcurris Park in Ballymun between 4.00am and 5.00am, and who have camera footage (including dash-cam), are asked to make it available to investigating gardaí.
