Two charged after woman allegedly falsely imprisoned in Kildare

Two people have been charged following an alleged incident of false imprisonment involving a woman in Castletown, Celbridge, Co Kildare.

The incident occurred around 10.10pm on Monday, June 23. Within 90 minutes of being alerted, gardaí arrested a man and a woman, both in their 30s, in Tallaght, Dublin 24.

The pair are due to appear before Blanchardstown District Court No. 1 on Wednesday, June 25 at 10.30am.

The scene in Celbridge has been preserved for forensic examination, and gardaí are appealing to any witnesses to come forward.
