Man, 30s, arrested in connection with serious assault in Eden Quay, Dublin

Investigations are ongoing

A man in his 30s has been arrested in connection with the serious assault of another man in the Rosie Hackett Bridge area of Eden Quay on Monday.

The victim was transported to the Mater Misericordiae Hospital to be treated for serious injuries, after gardaí arrived at the scene around 4.30pm.

A garda spokesperson said the scene is currently preserved for technical examination.

Gardaí are currently appealing for witnesses to come forward, particularly those who may have information about any of these incidents or any mobile phone footage recorded at the relevant locations.

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area at the time are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.
