Two dead, six injured over bank holiday weekend as gardaí target dangerous driving

Two people lost their lives and six others were left with life-threatening injuries over the May bank holiday weekend, as gardaí carried out a major roads policing operation nationwide.

The extensive operation, which ran from 7am on Thursday, May 1 until 7am on Tuesday, May 6, aimed to improve road safety during one of the busiest weekends of the year.
