Witness appeal as garda seriously injured after being hit by van 

A spokesperson said the guard sustained "serious but non-life-threatening injuries" and he was transferred to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda.

A guard has been seriously injured after a van was driven at him in a dangerous driving incident in Ardee, Co Louth.

Gardaí were on patrol in the Clonmore Estate when they approached a van that was parked up at around 4.20am on May 2.
