Man arrested as garda suffers injury in Dublin incident

Gardaí have arrested a man following a public order incident in Dublin which resulted in an injury to a garda.
The incident took place on Saturday afternoon on Abbey Street at approximately 1pm.
The member of the gardaí received injuries to his arm, but they are believed to be non-life-threatening at this time. He was taken to the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital for treatment.
A man (aged in his late 30s) was arrested at the scene, and is currently detained at a garda station in the Dublin city centre area.
Garda welfare services will be put in place for the Garda member.
Investigations are ongoing.
