Man, 18, dies in hospital after car crash in Dungannon

An 18-year-old man has died in a single-vehicle crash in Dungannon.

The crash, involving a black Peugeot 207, happened on the Coalisland Road at about 10.50pm on Tuesday.

Police Service of Northern Ireland Inspector Cherith Adair, from the collision investigation unit, said: “Officers attended, alongside our colleagues from partner emergency services.

“The driver of the vehicle was taken to hospital where he sadly passed away.”

The Coalisland Road remained closed on Wednesday morning.

Officers have urged witnesses to come forward.
