Fundraising for PhD scholarship to detect ovarian cancer earlier

A widower of a woman described “a force of nature” who died with ovarian cancer has fundraised for a PhD scholarship in her name to investigate the “cruel” disease that can be hard to detect until it is too late.

Attracta O’Regan was always positive, Ultan Bannon recalled. The mother-of-four and solicitor was just 55 when she died in 2023.
