Minister to meet woman who wants inquiry into the death of her son killed in hit-and-run

Minister for Justice Jim O’Callaghan is to meet with the mother of Shane O’Farrell “in the near future” as the family continue to fight for an independent inquiry into his death.

Earlier this week, Shane’s mother Lucia branded former Justice Minister Helen McEntee’s failure to refer a scoping inquiry into the hit-and-run in which the Monaghan man was killed as “shameful behaviour”.
