Man, 30s, dies at home following unreported crash in Co Galway

The crash occurred on the L4102 — a minor road at Slievaun in Clarinbridge.

A man has died following an unreported crash in Co Galway last Thursday.

The single-vehicle crash, involving an SUV, occurred on the L4102 — a minor road at Slievaun in Clarinbridge  — shortly after 9.15am.

The sole occupant of the car, a man aged in his 30s, was discovered dead at his home in Clarinbridge the following day.

The local coroner was informed and an autopsy was arranged.

Following the autopsy, gardaí began a fatal traffic collision investigation. Garda forensic collision investigators examined the vehicle and the scene of the collision.

Now, investigating gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

In a statement, a Garda spokesperson said: "Investigating gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to come forward. 

"They are also urging motorists with dash-cam or video footage from the area at the time of the incident to contact them.

"Anyone with information is requested to contact Oranmore Garda Station on 091 388030 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111."
