Gardaí investigate death of man found at vacant property in Co Donegal

The Office of the State Pathologist and the local Coroner have been notified, a Garda spokesperson said

Gardaí are investigating all the circumstances surrounding the death of a man following the discovery of a body at a vacant property in Co Donegal on Wednesday afternoon.

The body was discovered at approximately 2.30pm at a residence in Dundrain, Burnfoot.

The deceased has not yet been identified and has been removed to the mortuary at University Hospital Letterkenny for a post-mortem examination.

The Office of the State Pathologist and the local Coroner have been notified, a garda spokesperson said.

The scene remains preserved for technical and forensic examination. The results of the autopsy will assist gardaí in determining the course of their investigation.
