Teenager dies in Donegal crash
The driver and sole occupant of the car, a teenage boy, was killed in the collision
A teenager has died following a crash near Buncrana, Co Donegal on Sunday morning.
The collision, involving one car, occurred on the R244 at Ballinlough shortly after 5am.
The driver of the car, a teenage boy, was killed in the collision. He was the sole occupant of the car.
The local coroner has been notified and arrangements will now be made for a post-mortem examination.
The road is currently closed while a technical examination is due to take place by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
Local diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 4:30am and 5.30am are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
