Man in serious condition following Tullamore crash

There were no other occupants of the vehicle, nor were there any other injuries reported, according to a spokesperson for the gardaí

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a man was seriously injured in a crash in Co Offaly.

Emergency services were alerted to a single-vehicle crash involving a car on the L2007 (Rahan Road) at Ballykeenaghan, Tullamore, at approximately 9am.

The driver of the car, a man aged in his 40s, was seriously injured. He was brought to Midlands Regional Hospital, Tullamore, where he remains in serious condition.

There were no other occupants of the vehicle, nor were there any other injuries reported, according to a garda spokesperson.

"A technical examination of the scene has been conducted by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, and the road has since reopened to traffic.

"Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward," the spokesperson said.

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash cam) and were traveling in the area between 8.15am and 9.15am are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
