Witness appeal after incident involving suspected firearm in Dublin 

Gardaí from Clondalkin responded to reports of a man armed with a firearm threatening three individuals on Saturday night.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following an incident involving a suspected firearm over the weekend in Dublin. 

Gardaí from Clondalkin responded to reports of a man armed with a firearm threatening three individuals on Saturday night.

The incident occurred outside a licensed premises on Main Street in Rathcoole at around 10pm. 

On arrival, those involved had left the immediate area and no firearm was recovered. 

"It is understood that no shots were fired and there were no reports of injuries," a garda spokesperson said. 

Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing. 

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward. 

They are also asking anyone with camera footage, including dashcam recordings from Main Street, Rathcoole, between 9.30pm and 10.30pm, on Saturday, September 28 to contact them.

"Anyone with information is urged to contact Clondalkin Garda Station at 01 666 7600, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station," the spokesperson added.
