More than 9 million cigarettes worth almost €8m have been seized by officials as Rosslare Europort in Co Wexford.
Revenue officers uncovered and seized the 9,540,000 cigarettes during routine profiling on Thursday.

The cigarettes, branded ‘Marlboro Gold’, were discovered when customs officials stopped and searched an accompanied freight unit that had disembarked a ferry arriving from Dunkirk, France.
According to Revenue, the seized cigarettes represent a potential loss to the Exchequer of approximately €6.3m.
A man, in his 20s, was questioned in relation to the seizure.
A Revenue spokesperson said investigations are ongoing.
