Appeal made for donations as national blood supply falls to below three days

Blood donations are being requested by the IBTS due to low supply levels

The Irish Blood Transfusion Service (IBTS) are appealing for 2,000 additional blood donations over the next four weeks - as the national bloody supply has fallen to under three days of stock.

Levels of O negative are at two days supply, as are stocks of B negative.
