HSA investigating after teenager dies in workplace accident in Kilkenny

A garda spokesperson said the HSA has been notified and will conduct its own investigation into the incident. 

The Health and Safety Authority (HSA) has launched an investigation following the death of a teenager at his workplace in Co Kilkenny.

Gardaí and emergency services personnel responded to the incident, which happened in Freshford on Thursday afternoon. 

The teenager later passed away at the scene.

His body was then brought to University Hospital Waterford where an autopsy will take place in due course.

A Garda spokesperson said the HSA has been notified and will conduct its own investigation into the incident.
