Watch: A third of seats filled in local elections as counting is well underway across the country

The total voter turnout for the local elections was 48.95%. With so many voters, the counting centre staff had a busy time going through boxes full of ballots. 

Saturday and Sunday saw warm celebrations as many elected candidates have been announced throughout the country.
